What is Peer Review?

Peer review is a process of independently reviewing a profession.  It is the investigative and validating process to assure that case management is being followed using the best evidence-based standards within the industry.  Policing the profession to improve outcomes and assure integrity has always been a critical part of any profession.  Similar internal reviews in police work, medicine, academia, law and all professions is an essential element in assuring the public reliability in all professional organizations.

"The key to peer review is to never compromise your integrity by trying to please any party or interest in litigation or review cases.  I investigate the facts and determine the truth.  I always call cases solely based on the evidence and my opinion always remains objective. Strict honesty to call out the truth of the specific case is mandatory with no preconceptions of any type."  Dr. G. Aamodt
